Michael Patrick King (born on September 14, 1954, in Scranton, Pennsylvania) is an Emmy-award winning Americandirector, writer and producer for television shows. His most famous work has been for Sex and the City where he wrote all the season finales and premieres since the second season. King has also recently directed the show's film adaptation.He has also written for another HBO show, The Comeback and as well as for broadcast shows Will & Grace, Cybill, and Murphy Brown.In the 1980s King moved to New York, did stand-up comedy, and wrote plays. He eventually moved to Los Angeles where he wrote for Murphy Brown, and was nominated for several Emmys for his work.
