Saint CharlesBorromeo (Italian: Carlo Borromeo; Latinized as Carolus Borromeus) (October 2, 1538 – November 3, 1584) is an Italian saint and was a cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church. Borromeo was the nephew of his elevator, Pope Pius IV, and along with Anselm of Lucca is one of only two cardinal-nephews to have been canonized.
